Dr. Kelly Whitehurst

Dr. Kelly Whitehurst is a compassionate and experienced family medicine physician who has dedicated over 20 years to improving the health and well-being of her patients. Raised in Flint, Michigan, she earned her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University before attending the American University of the Caribbean for medical school. She completed her primary care residency at Deaconess Hospital, where her commitment to patient-centered care began to flourish.

Known for her empathetic approach, Dr. Whitehurst has spent the last eight years focusing on addiction therapy, driven by her belief in treating the whole person. She has always been passionate about integrating diverse treatment modalities—combining traditional medicine with holistic, lifestyle-based approaches to support long-term wellness.

Her interest in health and fitness led her to connect with like-minded professionals in the industry, making her current role a perfect blend of her medical expertise and personal values. Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her husband, children, and their dogs. A fun fact: she has a twin sister who is also in medicine—healing runs in the family.
